Before introducing the Bohang anti-theft system, China Resources Vanguard faced the following core challenges:
High shrinkage rate: the average shrinkage rate in retail is about 1.5%-2%, of which 60%-70% comes from customer theft or internal theft. For China Resources Vanguard with annual sales of tens of billions, the loss amount is enormous.
High cost of manual guarding: increasing security personnel is costly with limited effect, and affects the customer shopping experience.
False and missed alarms: some early anti-theft devices had high false alarm rates, affecting checkout efficiency; missed alarms led to commodity losses.
Difficult tag management: low hard tag recovery rate and easy loss; the source tagging system had not yet been established, and supplier-side commodities could not achieve source-level anti-theft.
III. Solution
Deployment Plan:
Since 2004, RF anti-theft systems were first piloted in stores in key regions such as East China and South China.
Gradually promoted to 3,000+ stores nationwide, forming a trinity anti-theft system of "antennas + tags + decoding".
Cooperating with core suppliers such as P&G and Unilever to implement the source tagging program, attaching anti-theft tags at the commodity production stage.
Key Capabilities:
High detection rate: Bohang RF/AM antennas can reach a detection width of 1.8 meters, with small blind spots and a missed alarm rate below 0.5%.
Low false alarm rate: intelligent signal processing technology with strong anti-interference capability, with a false alarm rate below 1% (industry average 3%-5%).
Source tag compatibility: supports pre-tagging at the supplier side to achieve "source-level anti-theft," greatly reducing store tagging labor.
Hard tag recovery system: provides high-strength, reusable hard tags and establishes a recovery process, reducing tag loss rate by 70%.
System integration: can link with POS checkout systems to achieve "automatic alarm + checkout reminder when undecoded commodities pass the antenna".
